As an experienced project manager facilitating the development of more than 40 customized academic cost framework projects, We collaborate closely with faculty and staff to create a detailed and sustainable academic decision support environment. This multiphase project includes initial preparation through stakeholder engagement, extensive data gathering, and in-depth analysis to identify gaps and opportunities within the institution’s current academic decision support structure. We then develop a tailored methodology that aligns academic costs with academic units, faculty effort, and academic overhead. This comprehensive framework supports informed decision-making at the department, school, college, and institutional level, optimizes resource allocation practices, and aligns expenses to the academic units providing the curriculum. The project culminates in the socialization of the decision support framework through workshops, decision support tools, and comprehensive training for key stakeholders such as faculty, chairs, and deans. This meticulous undertaking ensures academic units have the information to capably steward finite resources and simultaneously enhance academic quality and student outcomes.
